What this covers
This page explains what FERTI stores on your device — cookies and similar browser storage — and why. It's written to reflect what the app actually does today, and we'll update it before anything new is added.
Strictly necessary storage
- Sign-in session. Keeps you signed in securely between visits. Without it, the app can't know who you are.
- Security and abuse prevention. For example, rate-limiting on forms such as our contact form.
These are strictly necessary for the service to work, so they don't require consent under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Preference storage
We store some choices on your device so the app remembers them: your appearance choice (light, dark or system), your city and discovery preferences, and similar interface settings. These stay on your device and aren't used to track you across other sites. Whether these qualify as strictly necessary or require an opt-out control: [To confirm].
Analytics and advertising
FERTI does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data. We record first-party usage events (for example, views of a professional's content) on our own servers to show providers how their content performs; these don't set cookies on your device. If we ever add non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we'll ask for your consent before they run and update this policy first.
Third-party requests
FERTI loads fonts from Google Fonts' content delivery network. Your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch the font files; FERTI doesn't set any cookie through this. When you follow an external link — such as a provider's booking page — that site's own cookie policy applies.
Managing storage
You can clear cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them will sign you out and reset on-device preferences such as your appearance choice.
